Final Week Celebrations for Upper Sixth Students
This week, Upper Sixth students marked their final days at RGS Worcester ahead of Study Leave and the start of their Public Examinations.
The week included a series of events marking the end of their time at the School beginning with the Leavers’ photograph on Wednesday, followed by the Prefects ‘Thank You’ event yesterday, and culminating in their Final Assembly and ‘Grange Day’ today.
The Final Assembly in Perrins Hall provided an opportunity to reflect on the many achievements of the students. Headmaster, Mr John Pitt, spoke warmly of the contribution the students have made to the life of the School, with students having been part of the RGS community for anything from 2 to over 16 years. Students were reminded that, as they move into their examination period and beyond, they remain very much a part of The RGS Worcester Family of Schools.
Following the Assembly, students gathered for the Leavers’ Breakfast in Main Hall, where there was a relaxed and positive atmosphere as friends shared memories and looked ahead to the months to come. A montage of photographs from their early years at RGS prompted both laughter and reflection, offering a reminder of how far they have come.
Later that day, the Upper Sixth went on to go Bowling and then travelled to RGS The Grange for ‘Grange Day’, a longstanding tradition and a highlight of the leavers’ calendar. With a range of activities, games and sport on the fields, alongside lunch and refreshments, the day provided a fitting opportunity to celebrate friendships and mark the end of their time together before the focus turns fully to examinations.
Study Leave will begin next week, as students prepare for their Public Examinations.
We thank the Upper Sixth students for the energy, leadership and commitment they have brought to the School throughout their time at RGS Worcester. We wish them every success in their Public Examinations and look forward to celebrating their achievements at their Graduation & Prize Giving in June.
