How to apply
Joining RGS The Grange is possible for children age 2 to 11 years of age
If you would like to consider a private primary school for your child, we recommend a visit to RGS The Grange as the starting point. We would be delighted to give you a personal tour of our school or meet you at one of our Open Days. If following the visit you think your child would enjoy the learning environment that we have created, you can formally apply for a place by returning the completed registration form with the £45.00 fee. If applicable, we will then request a reference from the current school and, on receipt of this, we will invite you to bring your child into school for a taster day.
For those children joining in Years Three to Six, an assessment will take place during the taster day. The assessment involves Mathematics, English and Verbal Reasoning. For those children joining us in Reception and up to Year Two, your child will be informally assessed during the taster day by the class teacher.
We would then formally offer a place, subject to acceptable assessment results and on the return of the acceptance deposit, together with your child’s birth certificate, a place is then confirmed. You may, of course, enter your child for future years but we would not normally complete the paperwork until the year preceding admission.
Two year olds may enter the term after their second birthday into our Nursery setting and we will arrange for familiarisation sessions to ensure your child is comfortable with the environment.
For any questions regarding joining our School, please contact our Registrar on 01905 451205 or by email to discuss the next step of your journey with RGS.
We would be delighted to welcome you to RGS The Grange
In order to register your interest, please complete the registration form below and return with the £45.00 fee. Once an offer has been made, a deposit of £100.00 is required to secure the place.
