Open Mornings

Our Private School Open Days are one of the best ways to see RGS Worcester. At a Senior School or Sixth Form Open Day, you will have the opportunity to look around the Senior School with one of our current pupils. They will talk to you about life at RGS and show you where they study, socialise and enjoy their co-curricular activities.

Due to the national ‘lockdown’, prospective parents are unfortunately not able to visit the School in person  – however, we have put alternative measures in place.  We welcome you to book an Open Day appointment for a one-to-one online meeting with a Senior member of staff (via Zoom or Google Meet), and for Sixth Form entry you will also be provided with access to short films about each subject department.

You are also invited to visit our Virtual Hub page, where you can visit the School virtually, and view a variety of films from the Headmaster, current pupils, a parent and a former pupil. This page remains open for you to visit at any time.

We can also arrange a further meeting with the Headmaster and any specific members of staff in order to assist you.

When the current ‘lockdown’ period expires on 2 December, should restrictions allow, we highly recommend a personal visit to the School so that you can see our provision first-hand.

We are asking all Open Day visitors to Pre-register using the form at the bottom of this page. Our Registrar will contact you following receipt of the form and confirm a virtual appointment time for you and your family to meet us online.

Book your place

At the Senior School, Open Days are held each October, November and January, with an additional Sixth Form Open Day event in November.

Each Open Morning is 9.00 am – 12.30 pm

If restrictions apply the Open Morning will be a virtual event,  you are invited to pre-registered, so that we can contact you with updates.

RGS Sixth Form Subject Guide

The most important reasons to choose a subject are that you enjoy it and find the subject interesting. It is best to put your interests first and let them guide your choices for later study or career.

The report describes how RGS Worcester comprises an atmosphere that is ‘conducive to high-quality learning’. It also explains that pupils’ achievements are directly related to the ‘high-quality teaching they receive, the breadth of opportunities they are offered both in the formal curriculum and beyond the classroom, and the care and concern shown by staff’.
