🚣♂️🏅 Success at Worcester Spring Regatta
RGS Worcester rowers enjoyed an excellent day of racing at the Worcester Spring Regatta, with crews showing great determination, teamwork and leadership throughout the competition.
Congratulations to Billie and Findan, who secured victory in the J16 Double, before Freddie and Jacob continued the family success with a win in the J18 Double. Later in the day, Oliver, Zac, Sihan and Ozzie claimed another victory in the J17 Coxless Four.
There were also strong performances from several crews reaching finals, including Sophie and Eva, who grew in confidence throughout the day to reach the final of their event after winning three races, and the Year 9 Boys A Quad, who narrowly missed out in their final.
Special recognition also goes to Shay, Caroline and Andrei for their commitment and leadership while coxing and supporting crews throughout the day.
A fantastic team effort — well done to all involved.

🧵✨ Textiles Workshop with RGS Alumna
Our Year Ten Textiles pupils enjoyed a fantastic weaving workshop led by RGS Worcester alumna Georgina Hollingworth.
Pupils explored a range of weaving techniques and creative processes, gaining valuable insight from Georgina’s experience and expertise within the textile industry.
A wonderful opportunity to learn from a former pupil and develop new creative skills.

⛰️ Gold DofE Adventure in North Wales 🌊✨
39 pupils travelled to North Wales to take on their Gold Duke of Edinburgh expedition, a four day challenge testing both stamina and spirit.
Working in teams, pupils showed real independence as they carried all their own equipment, food and tents throughout the expedition. Two days were spent on the water at Trawsfynydd Lake, applying canoeing skills before heading into the mountains of Eryri for two days of demanding trekking.
Climbing peaks including Moel Hebog and Moel Eilio, pupils demonstrated resilience, teamwork and determination, embracing every challenge with enthusiasm and positivity.
A fantastic experience with plenty of memorable moments, and a brilliant achievement for all involved as they now look ahead to their assessed expedition in Scotland.

RGS Worcester was delighted to welcome Joshua from Falmouth University to speak with pupils across a range of year groups and classes.
He shared valuable insights into degree pathways as well as the wide range of careers available within the creative industries, helping pupils to explore future possibilities and think creatively about their next steps.

⚓ CCF Navy Lakeside Boating 🌊✨
Pupils from RGS Worcester took part in CCF Navy lakeside boating at the University of Worcester, developing their skills on the water in a fantastic setting.
The session provided a great opportunity to build confidence, teamwork and resilience, with pupils embracing the challenge and making the most of the experience.
A brilliant example of the varied opportunities available through CCF and the wider co-curricular programme.
