RGS Worcester has been named Independent Senior School of the Year 2026 at the prestigious Tes Awards, one of the highest accolades in UK education.

Selected from schools across the country, the award recognises RGS Worcester’s outstanding combination of academic excellence, exceptional pastoral care, innovation and commitment to preparing young people for life beyond School.

The recognition reflects the dedication of our staff, the achievements of our pupils and the strength of the wider RGS community, and follows a period of sustained success including record academic results, national recognition for innovation and continued investment in pupil opportunities.

Cherishing the Past, Looking to the Future

Our motto ‘Cherishing the past, looking to the future’ reflects a school that combines tradition with a modern, forward-thinking approach to education. Our Digital Learning Programme inspires pupils to be active learners, and co-curricular opportunities provide them with the chance to express themselves and pursue what they love.

RGS Worcester is a welcoming and friendly school. Class sizes are small, and RGS is large enough to provide a wealth of opportunities but small enough that each pupil is treated individually and encouraged.

With leading academic results, an award-winning Careers provision, breath-taking co-curricular opportunities and excellent pastoral care, RGS Worcester is determined to see each child achieve their full potential.

We warmly welcome you to visit us and discover our outstanding independent school in Worcester for yourselves.

We are delighted to announce that RGS Worcester, has achieved the School Games Gold Mark Award for the 2025/26 academic year.

The School Games Mark is a Government-led award scheme launched in 2012, facilitated by the Youth Sport Trust to reward schools for their commitment to the development of competition across their school and into the community, and we are delighted to have been recognised for our success.

SGO Alex Repton stated that 'It is clear that PE, school sport and physical activity are highly valued at RGS Worcester. This has been highlighted by your engagement and attendance at events, the range of opportunities on offer for students and through the development of student leadership.'

We are extremely proud of our pupils for their dedication to all aspects of school sport, including those young volunteers, leaders and officials who made our competitions possible.

As part of our application, we were asked to fulfil criteria in the areas of participation, competition, workforce and clubs, and we are pleased that the hard work of everyone at our school has been rewarded this year.

We look forward to applying once again in 2027!
🎓✨ Celebrating the Class of 2026 ✨🎓

We were delighted to welcome our Upper Sixth students and their families to Perrins Hall for a very special Graduation Ceremony, marking their journey from RGS Worcester pupils to Old Elizabethans

The evening was a wonderful celebration of all that this year group has achieved, academically and beyond. From Music, Drama and Sport to leadership, service and co-curricular success, the Class of 2026 has made an outstanding contribution to School life.

We were also honoured to welcome Old Elizabethan Amy Murphy as our Guest of Honour, whose inspiring journey from RGS to a career in Formula 1 engineering offered a fantastic example of what lies ahead.

We are incredibly proud of this remarkable group of young people and all they have accomplished. As they take their next steps, we know they will continue to achieve great things.

Congratulations, Class of 2026, we look forward to seeing what the future holds!

🏛️🎨 RGS Pupils Help Celebrate Worcester’s Heritage 🎨🏛️

We are proud to see RGS pupils playing a key role in celebrating Worcester’s rich history through the English Civil Wars Banner Project

Launched at Worcester Guildhall, this inspiring city-wide initiative, led by the Battle of Worcester Society, brings together history, creativity and education to mark Worcester’s important role in the English Civil War.

Our pupils have been at the heart of the project, designing and creating stunning banners inspired by those carried during the Battle of Worcester in 1651. Working across Art, Textiles and History, pupils have explored the symbolism and storytelling behind these historic designs, bringing the past to life in a vibrant and meaningful way.

We are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our talented pupils, including this year’s competition winner Abigail, alongside Highly Commended entries from Vienna and James

As the city marks 375 years since the Battle of Worcester, the banners, many created by our pupils, will once again transform Copenhagen Street into a striking outdoor gallery for the whole community to enjoy.

A fantastic example of creativity, collaboration and local heritage in action, well done to all involved!
