Inclusive. Challenging. Stimulating.

RGS Worcester is a leading co-educational independent school in Worcester, offering an exceptional education for pupils aged 11 to 18. Cherishing the Past, Looking to the Future

Our motto ‘Cherishing the past, looking to the future’ reflects a school that combines tradition with a modern, forward-thinking approach to education. Our Digital Learning Programme inspires pupils to be active learners, and co-curricular opportunities provide them with the chance to express themselves and pursue what they love.

RGS Worcester is a welcoming and friendly school. Class sizes are small, and RGS is large enough to provide a wealth of opportunities but small enough that each pupil is treated individually and encouraged.

With leading academic results, an award-winning Careers provision, breath-taking co-curricular opportunities and excellent pastoral care, RGS Worcester is determined to see each child achieve their full potential.

We warmly welcome you to visit us and discover our outstanding independent school in Worcester for yourselves.

Before Christmas, four of our budding authors participated in the ‘Stranger Sagas’ competition hosted by Young Writers. Challenged to craft a ‘mini-saga’ of 100 words or fewer, our students explored themes of the strange and supernatural with impressive creativity.
We are thrilled to announce that the following students' entries were selected for publication in the official Stranger Sagas anthology:
Noah, Laara, Kateryna and Niamh

This was a wonderful milestone that I was delighted to share with them last term. The school has now received our physical copy of the anthology, and seeing our students’ work in such a professional publication is truly inspiring.

We are immensely proud of the dedication and imagination they poured into their stories. We look forward to seeing these talented individuals continue to nurture their craft and embrace future literary challenges.

Congratulations to our published young writers!

✨ From studio to stage… what an achievement!

Performing in a large-scale production is a dream for many, and for one of our talented pupils, Vienna, that dream has become a reality.

Just before the Easter break, one of our pupils took to the stage in the Midland Theatre Ballet’s production of The Twelve Dancing Princesses at the Crescent Theatre in Birmingham, performing in an incredible seven dances.

From the excitement of receiving that all-important audition email, to the adrenaline-fuelled moments waiting in the wings, this experience has been a true testament to her dedication, resilience and passion. Months of hard work, long rehearsal hours and stepping up to a professional schedule all led to an unforgettable performance.

What’s even more inspiring is her mindset, embracing nerves as energy, discovering she thrives under pressure, and encouraging others to “keep believing and go for it.”

Starting her dance journey at just three years old, she is a shining example of where commitment and confidence can lead. We are incredibly proud and can’t wait to see what comes next.

Joe has shown outstanding commitment, progressing through his gradings every year since Year One and never missing the opportunity to move to the next level. Achieving his Green Belt is a fantastic reward for years of hard work, perseverance and dedication.

Taijutsu Kai JuJutsu is a defensive martial art which develops confidence, self-discipline and resilience - qualities Joe has demonstrated throughout his journey.
