Step One: Come and Visit

We encourage families to visit RGS Dodderhill through an Open Morning or a personal tour during the school day. 

You will be guided around the School by our teachers and pupils, giving you the opportunity to explore our specialist classrooms, science laboratories, creative studios, sports facilities and outdoor spaces. You will gain a genuine sense of daily life at RGS Dodderhill and what makes our all girls environment so distinctive.

You will also have the opportunity to meet members of our Senior Leadership Team, who will be happy to answer any questions.

Step Two: Register

Complete the online registration form and submit the registration fee of £60.

Registration expresses your interest in your daughter joining the School, but does not commit you to accepting a place. Once registered, you will receive regular updates about the admissions process, including taster days, key dates and school news.

Step Three: Taster Day

Your daughter will be invited to attend a Taster Day to experience a typical day at RGS Dodderhill.

She will be paired with a buddy and join her prospective Year group for lessons and activities, giving her the opportunity to experience our learning environment, teaching style, Co-curricular opportunities and the atmosphere of the School. This helps her feel confident and excited about the possibility of joining.

Step Four: References

We request a reference from your daughter’s current school to gain a fuller understanding of her academic progress, character and learning profile.

All information is treated confidentially and supports us in ensuring the right fit for every pupil. If you would prefer us not to contact the current school until later in the process, please let us know.

Step Five: Offer and Acceptance

Following a successful Taster Day and receipt of a satisfactory reference, the Headteacher will review the application and, if appropriate, make an offer of a place.

To accept the offer, families complete an acceptance form, submit a deposit of £120 and provide a copy of the pupil’s birth certificate. Once completed, your daughter’s place is confirmed.

Depending on her entry point, she will be invited to transition and induction events where she will meet staff and classmates and begin to feel settled and confident ahead of joining.
