Year Nine Pupil Crowned LeMieux Quest Under 21 Intro Champion
Year Nine pupil Georgie Timmis has enjoyed outstanding success at the LeMieux British Dressage Quest Finals, returning from a demanding weekend of national competition as the newly crowned Under 21 Intro Champion! Her qualification came following an excellent performance at the Semi-Finals in September, where she and her pony, Lola, secured a coveted direct place in the Championships. Georgie competed both as an individual in the Under 21 section and as part of a team, who were awarded a ‘wildcard’ entry to the team competition.
Across a weekend marked by challenging conditions and fierce competition, Georgie delivered an exceptional performance. Although her team were just outside the rosettes, their collective effort was highly commendable. Carrol, founder of the West Midlands Dressage Group with whom Georgie trains, praised her achievement: “Our one member to qualify directly from the Semi-Finals was Georgie Timmis on Little Miss Lola Snow at Intro Level. She rode a beautiful test, connected, forward and accurate. She was rewarded with a superb score of 72.119%, placing her first and Champion, three percent ahead of the second placed rider. Their presentation ceremony was watched by us all and broadcast live on TV.”
Georgie’s success has since attracted wider recognition, including interviews with British Dressage for their bi-monthly magazine and with Horse and Hound. She spoke with maturity and humility, expressing her gratitude to everyone involved in supporting her journey, including RGS Worcester.
Huge congratulations to Georgie on this fantastic achievement!
