Cross-Country Team Makes National Final
Last week, the Junior Girls’ Cross-Country team took part in the Regional final for the West Midlands in the ESAA Cross-Country Cup.
Taking place at Bromsgrove School, the persistent wet weather led to plenty of mud and puddles, providing a suitably challenging course to put all the participants through their paces. The RGS team showed great grit and determination, led home by Katie Harte in 3rd place overall, followed by Becky Dunnett (19th), Amélie Davis-Beard (20th), Julia McKenna (31st), Milly Palmer (37th) and Lila Warwick (49th). Overall, this placed the team in an excellent 3rd place in the West Midlands and means they have qualified for the National Final held in the first week of December.
This follows in the footsteps of 2 other appearances by RGS Worcester teams in the past 3 years in this prestigious event. We wish the team the best of luck!
Mr Alexander, Head of Cross-Country
