The Worcesterian Celebrates Another Exceptional Year at RGS Worcester
We are delighted to announce the launch of The Worcesterian 2024-25, celebrating another outstanding year across the RGS Worcester community and reflecting on the many achievements, experiences and memorable moments that have shaped the academic year.
Despite a challenging national backdrop for independent schools, RGS Worcester enjoyed an exceptional year in 2024-25, supported by the continued commitment of pupils, parents, staff and alumni. Academic success remained a defining feature, with pupils achieving record-breaking public examination results last summer alongside notable accomplishments in national academic competitions and Debating, reflecting both their dedication and the expert guidance of teaching staff.
Beyond the classroom, Co-curricular opportunities continued to expand, offering pupils an ever-wider range of activities, trips and events.
Sport flourished across all age groups, with increasing participation and success at county, regional, national and even international level. The Performing Arts also enjoyed a remarkable year, including international opportunities and national recognition through a shortlisting for Independent School of the Year for the Performing Arts, while Music continued to thrive through large-scale performances and concerts showcasing the talent and enthusiasm of pupils across the School.
Service and adventure remained central to school life, with pupils contributing extensively to the local community through volunteering, Duke of Edinburgh’s Award activities and CCF camps, alongside memorable overseas experiences including sports tours and expeditions. The year was further marked by a highly successful ISI Inspection, which recognised RGS Worcester with a rare ‘Significant Strength’, highlighting the exceptional relationships at the heart of the School community.
The Worcesterian captures these moments and many more, offering a lasting record of a vibrant and successful year at RGS Worcester.
