Inspiring Futures Through Apprenticeships at the RGS Careers EXPO 2026
RGS Worcester is inviting apprenticeship providers and employer partners to take part in our Careers EXPO 2026 on Thursday 26 February. Delegates are welcome to set up from 3.00pm, with pupils arriving at 3.30pm and touring the EXPO until 6.00pm.
This annual Careers event brings together pupils from across The RGS Family of Schools and local schools throughout Worcestershire with universities, employers and training providers to explore the full range of pathways available beyond school.
Apprenticeships are an increasingly important part of our Careers programme and RGS has a strong track record of supporting pupils to achieve highly competitive Higher and Degree Apprenticeships. In recent years, students have secured places with leading organisations including Deloitte, RSM, Carter Jonas, Irwin Mitchell and BAE Systems, progressing into professional roles across engineering, accountancy, surveying, law, education and policing. These outcomes reflect both the calibre of our students and the value we place on vocational and technical routes alongside traditional university pathways.
The Careers EXPO provides an ideal platform for apprenticeship providers to engage directly with motivated students who are actively considering this route. Delegates have the opportunity to raise awareness of their programmes, explain entry requirements and career progression and speak to pupils who are keen to understand how they can combine academic study with paid employment and practical experience.
For participating organisations, the event offers:
• Direct access to high-potential students at a key decision-making stage
• A chance to promote apprenticeship pathways and current or future vacancies
• A professional setting in which to showcase organisational values and training provision
• The opportunity to develop long-term relationships with a school committed to careers education and employer engagement
We are particularly keen to hear from employers and training providers who offer apprenticeships at Level 3, Higher or Degree level, or who are looking to strengthen their future talent pipeline across the West Midlands and beyond.
Apprenticeship providers interested in taking part are warmly invited to contact Audrey Williams, Head of Careers, at careers@rgsw.org.uk for further information or an informal conversation about partnership opportunities.
