Educational Partnerships Continue to Grow Across Worcestershire
The RGS Worcester Family of Schools has continued to develop its Educational Partnerships programme this year, delivering more than 60 events for around 2,600 pupils across Worcestershire.
Through the programme, local pupils have been able to benefit from specialist teaching, shared facilities and a wide range of enrichment opportunities. From Sport and Performing Arts to Science, Technology, Classics and Languages, the events have helped to strengthen links with local schools while offering pupils exciting experiences beyond their usual classroom setting.
Sport has continued to play an important role in the programme, with RGS pupils and students gaining valuable leadership experience through coaching and event support. This has included working with younger athletes at Pitmaston Primary School and St George’s Catholic Primary School, as well as assisting at events such as the Sportshall Athletics County Finals. These opportunities have enabled RGS pupils to develop confidence, communication and organisational skills while acting as positive role models for younger children.
The wider programme has also included a rich variety of creative and academic opportunities. RGS Worcester has hosted the Worcester Competitive Arts Festival, Young Fashion Designer UK, GCSE Drama workshops and the ‘Let’s Sing’ mass choir event, bringing pupils together through performance, creativity and collaboration.
There have also been opportunities to share expertise in technology and academic subjects. RGS Digital Leaders delivered Sphero Robotics sessions at Hagley Catholic Primary School, introducing younger pupils to coding, problem-solving and practical applications of Mathematics. Alongside this, specialist sessions in Science, Mathematics, English, Classics and Latin have supported pupils in exploring subjects in greater depth.
These initiatives reflect the School’s ongoing commitment to Educational Partnerships and to sharing opportunities with the wider community. They also provide valuable real-world experiences for RGS pupils and students, helping them to develop leadership, collaboration and a strong sense of social responsibility.
We thank all partner schools, pupils, staff and students who have contributed to such a successful year of Educational Partnerships and look forward to continuing this work next academic year.
