Society in Motion Showcases Lower Sixth Creativity in the Cathedral
Lower Sixth artists and Alumni are exhibiting their work at Worcester Cathedral this February, with their retrospective exhibition ‘Society in Motion’ on display in the Chapter House from 14-22 February 2026.
Invited by the Dean and Chapter of Worcester Cathedral, the exhibition brings together previously examined work and presents a diverse collection exploring themes of movement, change, identity and society. The exhibition charts the development of the pupils’ ideas and technical skills, offering insight into their creative journeys and considered responses to the world around them.
Visitors will encounter a broad range of work, including portraiture examining personal identity, dynamic interpretations of transport and shifting viewpoints capturing the city in motion, and sculptural pieces demonstrating both technical control and imaginative thinking.
Head of Art, Mrs Liversidge, said: “Society in Motion celebrates the technical skill of our young artists and their courage to question, reflect and respond to the world around them. This exhibition captures a significant stage in their creative development, where curiosity, identity and imagination combine to form confident visual voices”.
Set within the historic surroundings of the Cathedral’s Chapter House, the exhibition offers the wider community an opportunity to view the work of emerging young artists from RGS.
Everyone is welcome to attend the exhibition so please do pop in to the Chapter House in Worcester and see the superb Art work in the historic surroundings of Worcester’s beautiful Cathedral.
