Year Eleven Geographers Explore the Regeneration of Diglis
Our Year Eleven Geography pupils recently completed their Human Geography fieldwork in Diglis, Worcester, as part of their GCSE studies. The focus of the investigation was to explore the impact of regeneration on the local area.
During the day, pupils collected a range of data to help them evaluate how regeneration has changed the environment, economy and sense of place within Diglis. They carried out environmental quality surveys and land use mapping to gain a well-rounded understanding of the area.
Fortunately, the weather stayed fine throughout the day, allowing pupils to complete their fieldwork efficiently. The group worked with great enthusiasm and demonstrated mature, sensible behaviour throughout the trip. Their efforts will now feed into their analysis and evaluation work back in the classroom, where they will draw conclusions about the success and challenges of regeneration in Diglis.
