What’s On at RGS Worcester This Trinity Term
As the Trinity Term gets fully underway, there is much to look forward to across The RGS Worcester Family of Schools, with a number of key events taking place over the coming weeks.
On Friday 8 May, pupils will take to the stage for the Dance Showcase, The Silver Shoes. Inspired by The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, the performance will feature ensemble, group, duet and solo pieces across a range of styles, with many choreographed by the pupils themselves.
A highlight of the calendar is the Creative Arts Evening on Monday 15 June, celebrating pupil creativity across Art, Design Technology, Engineering, Textiles, Drama, Music and Dance. The evening will feature exhibitions, live performances, a fashion show and will be a vibrant showcase of work from across the Prep and Senior School.
Drama also takes centre stage with this year’s Summer Production, The Hobbit, performed by Lower School pupils each evening from Tuesday 16 to Friday 19 June. The much-loved story will be brought to life on stage as a fitting dramatic finale to the Performing Arts academic year.
Alongside these highlights, the annual Commemoration Service in Worcester Cathedral on Tuesday 16 June will bring The RGS Family community together in a moment of reflection and celebration for all 4 Schools.
The Upper Sixth Graduation & Prize Giving evening will be held on Thursday 25 June in Perrins Hall.
Sport will be enjoyed and celebrated at the Sports Awards Evening and there will be separate Sports Day events for Lower School, Middle School and Senior pupils at the end of June and beginning of July. This year, we are hosting the RGS Schools’ Cricket Festival, taking place from Monday 29 June to Friday 3 July at various Cricket pitches in the area and based at Flagge Meadow. The week-long festival will welcome five other Royal Grammar Schools from across the country (Colchester, Guildford, High Wycombe, Lancaster and Newcastle) for a 5 day tournament of highly competitive limited overs Cricket, culminating in a final day of matches, an Alumni reunion and the awarding of the tournament trophy to the winning team on Friday 3 July.
Finally, after the end of term, RGS Worcester will be hosting the Apple Education Global Summit 2026. This is a worldwide conference for Apple Distinguished Schools and will see delegates visit from just about every continent to discuss Education and Technology. As the only school in the world to have hosted this event, we are very honoured to have been chosen by Apple.
These events form part of a busy and exciting Trinity Term, offering opportunities for pupils to perform, compete and showcase their talents across a wide range of disciplines and a chance to celebrate everything RGS!
