Packed with Purpose, a Shipment of Support to Ghana
Staff and volunteers from across The RGS Worcester Family of Schools came together to load a shipping container bound for partner schools in North Eastern Ghana, as part of the School’s ongoing partnership with the Talensi Community Development Foundation.
Filled with decommissioned educational resources, books, school furniture, technology, clothing and sports kit, all generously donated by the RGS community, the container reflects a collective effort to support pupils and schools beyond the UK.
Among the donations were football shirts and sports clothing, helping to support pupils’ enthusiasm for Sport alongside their education, as well as a wide range of classroom resources that will be put to immediate use.
We are delighted to support the Schools in Ghana where the school children have very few resources or kit. Our thanks, too, to RGS parent Dr Groves who organised for Droitwich RFC to donate nearly 300 items of sports kit.
Thank you to everyone who contributed and gave their time to support the loading. This shared effort will provide valuable resources for partner schools, supporting pupils and communities in a meaningful and immediate way.
