RGS Worcester Pupils Celebrate Record-Breaking Examination Results
RGS Worcester pupils, their families, friends and staff celebrated a superb set of Public Examinations results in August.
Sixth Form Examination Results
Upper Sixth students marked an exceptional set of Public Examination results. The students secured superb results in their A Levels and also in the BTEC National Diploma in Sport and CTEC in Business we offer. This enabled them to take up their offers at leading Universities, Degree Apprenticeships and pursue a wide range of exciting future pathways.
At A Level, close to one third of results (32%) were at A* and two thirds (66%) were A*/A. With 98.5% of all Grades being A*-C, we can see why 95% of the students achieved their first choice university and apprenticeship places.
Headmaster, Mr John Pitt, commented, “Congratulations to the RGS students for these brilliant results, which have been achieved through exceptional hard work and commitment. This Year group worked incredibly well together and with their teachers and they can be extremely proud of all they have achieved. It is particularly enjoyable to see the students celebrate attaining their chosen courses at Universities and for Apprenticeships.
I would also like to congratulate the teachers whose expertise has meant that the students have achieved RGS Worcester’s best ever results. With almost one third of all Grades at A* and two thirds at A*/A Grades, or equivalent, the teachers really know how to get the very best from the students.
This Year group was also a very busy one with impressive achievements in Sport, Music, Drama, Dance and in so many other areas of school life. They have made a huge contribution to the RGS community, and to be able to celebrate their superb Academic results with them and their parents is really wonderful.”
These results reflect the hard work and commitment of our pupils and staff, and we are proud of all that they have achieved.”
Head of Sixth Form, Mr Mark Evetts, said, “I am delighted with the outstanding achievements of our Upper Sixth students and their results. These successes reflect not only their commitment and determination, but also the exceptional teaching, learning environment and personalised pastoral care they have received here in the RGS Sixth Form. Our ethos is to support every individual student to realise their potential, both in their studies and in their personal growth, equipping them with the skills, confidence and mindset to be truly future-ready. I am immensely proud of all they have achieved, and I look forward to seeing the impact they will make as they embark on the next stage of their journeys.”
BTEC/ CTEC success
Alongside their A Level successes, RGS students who studied BTEC/CTEC qualifications – either exclusively or in combination with A Levels – also achieved outstanding results. An impressive 95% were awarded the top grades of Distinction* or Distinction, reflecting their dedication, practical expertise, and academic ability.
