RGS Worcester Named Among the UK’s Best Schools
RGS Worcester has been recognised among the country’s highest-performing independent schools in the Best Schools League Tables 2025, based on published A Level performance data.
The league tables, which draw on verified examination results submitted by schools, rank institutions across the independent sector, including co-educational, single-sex and boarding schools. Within this national picture, RGS Worcester is placed 27th among co-educational independent day schools, reflecting the strength and consistency of its A Level outcomes.
When all independent schools are included within the wider dataset, RGS Worcester is listed at 79th nationally, a broader ranking which incorporates boarding and single-sex schools alongside co-educational day schools. Viewed within its peer group, however, the School’s position highlights its strong academic performance within the co-educational day sector.
Headmaster John Pitt said: “This recognition reflects the hard work of our pupils and the dedication of our staff. At RGS Worcester, academic excellence is underpinned by high expectations, expert teaching and a culture that encourages pupils to think deeply and aim high.”
This latest recognition further strengthens RGS Worcester’s academic reputation and provides a positive endorsement for families considering Senior School and Sixth Form entry, as the School looks ahead to its Open Morning tomorrow.
