RGS Cadets Take Flight at RAF Cosford
Twelve CCF RAF Cadets visited RAF Cosford for an exciting Flying Day experience. Cadets had the opportunity to use state-of-the-art flight simulators before taking to the skies in Grob Tutor aircraft alongside RAF instructors.
Many pupils were given the chance to take control of the aircraft themselves, while some also chose the option to experience thrilling high-G aerobatic manoeuvres, including loop-the-loops and barrel rolls.
The visit forms part of the RAF Cadet training syllabus and contributes towards achieving the prestigious Blue Wings qualification. It was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to develop confidence, teamwork, and aviation skills in a unique environment.
All twelve Cadets thoroughly enjoyed the day, describing the flight as “brilliant”, “so cool” and “the best thing I’ve ever done” and the experience has left them all looking forward to future flying opportunities and adventures with the RAF Section in the RGS CCF.
