Partnerships in Action: RGS Worcester Marks ISC Partnerships Week
Partnership sits at the centre of life at RGS Worcester, and this year’s Independent Schools Council (ISC) Partnerships Week this week offered an opportunity to highlight the many ways our staff and pupils work with local and national organisations and especially local state schools to share expertise and facilities, all the time inspiring learning and broadening opportunities across the wider community.
This term, our Educational Partnerships have already welcomed 18 visiting teachers and education professionals for a national EdTech Study Tour, led by John Jones, Director of Innovation and RGSW International, and Matt Warne, Head of Computing and Digital Learning at RGS The Grange. The day provided insight into RGS Worcester’s pioneering approach to digital learning and AI, with our pupil Digital Geniuses playing a key role in demonstrating innovation in practice.
We were delighted to host a Year Six Mixed Tag Rugby Coaching Session and Tournament at Flagge Meadow, where more than 40 pupils from five local primary schools enjoyed a day focused on developing skills, building confidence and working as a team under the guidance of our expert Rugby coaches.
Our Hockey Partnership Programme, led by Olympian and Head of Hockey Sally Walton, has also been in full swing, offering specialist coaching to 80 pupils from five local schools and helping introduce even more young people to the sport.
With more than 4,000 pupils taking part in collaborative activities each year, RGS Worcester remains committed to ensuring that education continues to enrich lives both within and far beyond our School community. Here at RGS, as one of the oldest schools in the world, we understand it is our duty to work with others for the good of all pupils and enhance their education experience.
