New Birmingham City Contract for Year Nine Pupil
Year Nine pupil Oscar has received a new two-year contract with Birmingham City Football Club, continuing his development within the Birmingham City Academy.
Oscar has enjoyed an impressive season across both the Under 15 and Under 16 age groups, regularly competing against top academy opposition including West Ham United, Crystal Palace and Brighton & Hove Albion. A particular highlight came during the Algarve Cup in Portugal, where he travelled with Birmingham City’s Under 15 squad as part of an international tour experience.
Alongside his Club commitments, Oscar has also been involved in the ISFA England National Squad training camps, reflecting the progress he continues to make within the game and the recognition he is receiving at a national level.
Balancing the demands of academy Football alongside school life requires significant commitment, discipline and resilience, and Oscar has approached these opportunities with great maturity throughout the season.
Securing a further two-year contract is an excellent achievement and a well-earned reflection of Oscar’s hard work and continued development within the Birmingham City Academy pathway. We congratulate Oscar on this exciting achievement and look forward to following his continued progress in the seasons ahead.
