Naval Section Pupils Develop Water Skills at the University of Worcester
Cadets from the Naval Section at RGS Worcester have been taking part in CCF Navy lakeside water sports at the University of Worcester, developing their confidence and skills on the water in a fantastic setting.
Across eight sessions, pupils have had the opportunity to take part in a range of activities, including stand-up paddleboarding, Canadian canoeing, kayaking, open-water swimming and raft building. Each session has provided a valuable opportunity for Cadets to build teamwork, resilience and confidence while enjoying time together outside the classroom.
The sessions have been a very positive addition to the CCF Navy programme, giving pupils the chance to relax after a busy School day, challenge themselves in a different environment and enjoy the varied opportunities available through CCF and the wider co-curricular programme.
Our thanks go to S/Lt Morris for organising the sessions and driving the minibus, and to S/Lt Griffin for his support.
Commander Shorrocks
