Miss Baker Takes on the London Marathon
Miss Baker, Assistant Head of Year Seven and Teacher of Mathematics, will take on the London Marathon next Sunday in support of Alzheimer’s Society.
Over recent months, Miss Baker has dedicated her time to training, swapping Sunday lie-ins for long-distance runs in preparation for the challenge. She is running in memory of her Nan, who was supported by Alzheimer’s Society, and whose experience has inspired Miss Baker to raise both awareness and funds for the charity.
Alzheimer’s Society works to improve dementia care and support families affected by the condition, a cause that holds particular significance for Miss Baker and her family.
As she approaches race day, Miss Baker is close to reaching her fundraising target and is appealing for any final support to help her reach her goal. Any contributions, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated.
We wish Miss Baker the very best of luck as she takes on this incredible challenge, and thank her for supporting such an important cause. Those wishing to contribute can donate via her JustGiving page: https://www.justgiving.com/page/shannon-baker-7
