International Success at AllStar World Championships
Two Lower Sixth students have achieved outstanding international success at the AllStar World Dance Championships 2026 in Florida, USA, competing against some of the strongest dance teams from across the world.
Representing Dance in Motion Academy, Malvern, Izzie Cherry competed in both the Lyrical and Jazz divisions alongside fellow RGS Worcester student Holly Jarvis. Following strong performances in the semi-finals, where both teams placed third on points, they progressed to the finals and ultimately secured outstanding global rankings of fourth in the world for Lyrical and fifth in the world for Jazz.
The Championships are believed to have been the largest dance competition ever staged, with more than 20,000 dancers taking part across the event. The scale of the competition was such that representatives from Guinness World Records attended to verify the event for inclusion in a future edition.
Competing against large international teams from countries including the USA, China and Mexico, Izzie and Holly performed with great skill, commitment and composure on the world stage.
Reflecting on the experience, Izzie said: “It was a great experience to go to Worlds. The standard was much higher than UK competitions and we had a fantastic time and made some great friends. We were over the moon to be placed in the top five in the world for both teams!”
To secure top five world rankings against such strong international competition is fantastic and Izzie and Holly should be extremely proud of their achievement. Congratulations to them both for this outstanding success.
