International Cricket Success for Upper Sixth Student

Upper Sixth student Kat enjoyed an outstanding summer of Cricket representing Spain in an international tournament in Switzerland.

The four-team competition saw Spain face Switzerland, Jersey and Brazil, providing Kat with the opportunity to compete against international opposition across a demanding series of matches.

Having initially batted further down the order, Kat was promoted to open the batting for Spain’s final three matches as the team looked to score more quickly. She responded superbly, with the highlight coming in an unbeaten innings of 88, produced in challenging conditions with temperatures reaching 38°C.

Kat also made an important contribution with the ball and in the field. Towards the end of the tournament, she bowled particularly effectively, including breaking a key partnership on the final day, while also taking two excellent catches.

Representing Spain at international level is a significant achievement and reflects Kat’s continued development, versatility as a player and commitment to Cricket.
