Former Pupil Awarded Red Roses Transition Contract
Former RGS Worcester pupil Haineala Lutui has reached another significant milestone in her Rugby career after being awarded a transition contract with the Red Roses.
Haineala has continued to make impressive progress within the England pathway following her Senior international debut earlier this year. Having previously represented England at Under 18 and Under 20 levels, she earned her first Senior cap during the Women’s Six Nations and has continued to establish herself within the international set-up.
The latest recognition marks another exciting step for Haineala, who combines her Rugby career with her studies at Loughborough University and plays her club Rugby for Loughborough Lightning. Haineala was chosen as ‘breakthrough player of the year’ at the TNT Rugby Sports Awards in the summer.
During her time at RGS Worcester, Haineala represented the School across Sports, including playing shooter in two winning ‘Superball’ teams and her continued progression at international level is a source of great pride for the RGS community.
