A Story of Courage and Discovery on the Senior Stage
On Monday this week, pupils gathered in the Performing Arts Centre for the much-anticipated reveal of the next Senior School musical production. With a strong turnout from across the Year groups, there was a real sense of excitement surrounding the announcement.
The reveal was led by Director of Drama, Mrs Witcomb, supported by Mr Garrity, who announced that the Senior Musical for 2026 will be ‘Frozen: The Musical’. The news was met with an enthusiastic response from pupils, many of whom are now eagerly awaiting further details about auditions in the coming weeks.
‘Frozen: The Musical’ is the stage adaptation of the orginal animated fantasy musical film released in 2013 by Disney. The musical was shown on Broadway in 2018, toured the USA in 2019 and had a three year run in London’s West End from 2021 to 2024. Many of our pupils will have grown up with the music from the original film and so this will be an opportunity for them to bring the story of the two princesses alive on stage in The Godfrey Brown Theatre in the Performing Arts Centre.
Performances are scheduled to take place from Monday 23 November to Friday 27 November 2026. Further information regarding auditions and rehearsals will be shared later in the term.
