First Rugby Fixtures of the Season at Glorious Flagge
It was a pleasure to welcome Hereford Cathedral School to our glorious Flagge Meadow sports ground last weekend, for our first senior Rugby fixture of the season. The game also marked the opportunity to welcome spectators back to support our school teams, after an 18 month absence due to Covid-19 restrictions. RGS Worcester displayed a promising start to the season, with a flowing style of running Rugby that produced six tries in an enjoyable and competitive fixture. Please enjoy the summary below:
1st XV Final Score RGSW 38 – 8 HCS
The hard work of pre-season paid off with scores from Ben Gaubert (Captain), Robbie May, Loic Keasey, Ben Chamberlain, Harry Ramsey and Daniel Hadley leading to a 38-8 victory. A total of 33 players were used in the fixture, all gaining competitive exposure which has been absent for far too long.
The Under 14A and Under 15A teams were also in action against Hereford Cathedral School, and senior fixtures continue tomorrow against Colston’s School. Please do come and watch and support the RGS teams.
