RGS Worcester Recognised for Value & Educational Breadth

RGS Worcester has received a ‘Very Good’ rating for value at both Year Eleven and Year Thirteen (Upper Sixth) in The Daily Telegraph’s latest national analysis of independent schools.

The School was the only independent school in Worcestershire to receive the ‘Very Good’ value rating at both stages and was one of just 23 co-educational day schools nationally to achieve the distinction.

Published on Friday 4 September, The Daily Telegraph analysis compared independent schools by considering academic outcomes and the facilities available to pupils in relation to annual fees. Schools were assessed separately at Year Eleven and Year Thirteen, making RGS Worcester’s rating across both stages particularly notable.

The School’s 2026 Public Examination results exceeded the national independent school averages used within the analysis. The assessment also reflected the breadth of facilities and opportunities available to pupils. Academic learning at RGS is complemented by extensive provision across Sport, Music, Drama, the Combined Cadet Force, Duke of Edinburgh Award and an exceptional Co-curricular programme. Pupils also benefit from specialist learning environments, including the recently opened Mahjoor Innovation Centre, which supports collaborative learning and presentation skills so the pupils can develop these vital skills for their future.

The ‘Very Good’ ratings provide further independent recognition of both the strong academic outcomes and breadth of educational opportunities available at RGS Worcester, supporting pupils to develop their interests, explore new opportunities and prepare confidently for their next steps.
