Disney’s ‘Frozen’ Set to Take Centre Stage

RGS Worcester is delighted to announce that this year’s major Senior Production will be Disney’s ‘Frozen’, taking to the stage in the Performing Arts Centre from Monday 23 to Friday 27 November.

The musical brings the kingdom of Arendelle to the stage through the story of sisters Anna and Elsa. When Elsa’s hidden powers are revealed and Arendelle is plunged into an eternal winter, Anna sets out to find her sister and bring her home, joined along the way by Kristoff, Sven and Olaf.

Based on Disney’s animated film, the stage production features many familiar songs, including Let It Go, Do You Want to Build a Snowman?, For the First Time in Forever and Love Is an Open Door, alongside additional music written for the theatrical production.

As the School’s major Senior Production for the academic year, ‘Frozen’ will involve pupils from across several Year groups, both on stage and behind the scenes. Acting, Singing and Dance will come together with Music, technical theatre, set, costume and backstage support to bring the world of Arendelle to life in the Performing Arts Centre.

The production will provide pupils with the opportunity to work together on one of the largest Performing Arts projects of the School year, developing their performance and technical skills while contributing to a shared production across different Year Groups. They will be supported by  a professional choreographer and singing coach.

Rehearsals are already underway with performances from Monday 23 to Friday 27 November. We look forward to following the cast and creative team over the coming months as ‘Frozen’ begins to take shape on the RGS stage.
