A New Term & New Beginnings
The start of a new academic year has brought a wonderful sense of energy to RGS Worcester as we welcome new pupils and students joining Years Seven, Eight, Nine, Ten and the Sixth Form, alongside welcoming back familiar faces for another year at the School.
For those joining RGS for the first time, the opening days have been filled with new experiences: finding their way around the School, meeting teachers and classmates, beginning new subjects and discovering the many opportunities available beyond the classroom. It has been lovely to see new friendships already forming and pupils quickly becoming part of the RGS community.
For our new Year Seven pupils in particular, September marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter. From navigating their first timetable and getting to know their Form, to exploring Co-curricular clubs, Music, Drama, Sport and many other activities, there is plenty to discover as they begin life in the Lower School.
Our new Sixth Form students are also embarking upon an important stage of their RGS journey, with greater independence, new academic challenges and opportunities to become involved in the wider life of the School. Whether joining RGS this year or progressing from Year Eleven, the start of Sixth Form offers the chance to pursue subjects in greater depth while preparing for University, Apprenticeships and future careers.
September also brings a fresh start for returning pupils and students. Across every Year Group, pupils and students are beginning new subjects and clubs, taking on additional responsibilities, reconnecting with friends and looking ahead to the opportunities that the 2026-27 academic year will bring.
The first few days have already demonstrated the warmth, enthusiasm and sense of community that characterise life at RGS Worcester. We hope every pupil and student enjoys the year ahead, embraces new opportunities and makes the very most of everything available to them.
