Fun, Friendship and Adventure at Holiday Club
RGS Holiday Club is held at RGS The Grange, offering a varied programme of activities for children aged 2 to 13 years and providing families with flexible holiday care in a fun, supportive and energetic environment.
The Holiday Club makes full use of RGS The Grange’s large site and grounds, including the all-weather Astroturf pitch, sports pavilions and indoor spaces. Some activities, particularly for children in the Sharks age range, also take place at RGS Worcester, allowing older children to enjoy a wider range of facilities and experiences.
The programme is organised into three age groups. Shrimps is open to children aged 2 to 4 years, Snappers is for children aged 4 to 6 years, from Reception to Year One, and Sharks is for children aged 7 to 13 years, with current Year Two children moving into this group for the summer. The Holiday Club runs from 8.00am to 5.30pm, with places priced at £40.00 per day. Hot lunches are also available for an additional £5 per day.
Across the summer, children will be able to take part in a wide range of activities designed to encourage creativity, teamwork, confidence and enjoyment. While places in some younger age groups are now limited, there are still good opportunities for older children to join the Sharks programme and enjoy a busy and varied summer of activities.
Children in Sharks will have the opportunity to choose from an exciting programme including Sport, Art, Baking, Team Games, Netball, Football, Cricket, Dungeons and Dragons, First Aid, Science, Nerf Arena, Go Karts and IT Suite activities. They will also be able to take part in optional trips to venues such as Drayton Manor, Malvern Splash, Thinktank, Habberley Trail and Birmingham SEA LIFE Centre, offering plenty for older children to enjoy throughout the holidays.
Younger children will also enjoy themed weeks including Our Wildlife, Peter Rabbit, Knights and Fairies, Budding Artists, On the Farm, Disney, Jungle Safari and At the Beach, with activities such as crafts, baking, sensory play, outdoor adventure, Forest School and creative play.
The informal and energetic atmosphere of Holiday Club offers children the chance to try new activities, enjoy time with friends and make the most of the summer holidays in a safe and engaging environment. As well as the planned activities, each day includes time for breaks, lunch, snacks, tuck shop and quieter moments to relax.
Children should bring a packed lunch unless a hot lunch has been booked, as well as snacks, a water bottle and trainers each day. For more information, families can scan the QR code on the poster below or visit: https://www.rgsw.org.uk/rgs-family/holiday-club/
