Outstanding Success in Royal Society of Biology Challenge
Year Ten pupils at RGS Worcester have achieved the School’s strongest-ever set of results in the Royal Society of Biology Challenge, a national competition designed to encourage pupils to develop their biological knowledge and problem-solving skills.
All Year Ten pupils took part in this year’s challenge, which attracts thousands of entrants from schools across the UK. The competition requires participants to apply their scientific understanding to a range of thought-provoking and unfamiliar biological scenarios, testing both knowledge and analytical thinking.
RGS Worcester pupils achieved an exceptional 77 awards overall, including 4 Gold, 10 Silver and 21 Bronze awards, alongside 17 Highly Commended and 25 Commended certificates. The 35 medal awards represent the School’s highest total in recent years and the strongest Biology Challenge results achieved by RGS Worcester to date.
These outstanding results reflect the enthusiasm, dedication and hard work of the pupils involved, as well as their ability to apply biological concepts with confidence and accuracy. Achieving such success in a competition taken by thousands of pupils nationally is a significant accomplishment.
Congratulations to all Year Ten pupils who took part and to the Biology Department on this excellent achievement.
