A Warm Welcome Back for a Season of Reunions
The RGS Worcester Foundation is looking forward to welcoming Old Elizabethans and Alice Ottleians back to School over the coming months, with a busy programme of events bringing former pupils together to reconnect with friends, revisit familiar places and celebrate shared memories of RGS.
The programme begins with the Alice Ottley Alumnae Summer Gathering on Saturday 20 June, from 11.00am to 3.00pm. Alumnae are invited to return for coffee and tea on arrival, tours of School with Prefects and a buffet lunch, with drinks on the Alice Ottley Lawn. The event is open to all Alice Ottleians, with a particularly warm invitation extended to those celebrating decade reunions, including the Classes of 2006, 1996, 1986, 1976, 1966 and 1956.
On Friday 3 July, the Foundation will host an OE Reunion as part of the RGS Schools’ Cricket Festival at Flagge Meadow. The Festival returns to RGS Worcester for the first time since 2019 and will bring together six of the seven RGS Schools in England for a five-day competition. The reunion will take place on the final day of matches, with an OE Cricket Tea hosted by Tim Curtis at 2.00pm in the Festival Marquee, providing a special opportunity for former cricketers, teammates and coaches to come together once again.
The annual Old Elizabethans’ Reunion Weekend will begin on Friday 11 September with the Alumni Golf Day, a friendly and competitive event for players of all abilities. The day will include a range of competitions, including the Biggs Rodway Quaich, the Old Elizabethan Golf Cup and the Britannia Plate, alongside prizes for Longest Drive, Closest to the Pin and other light-hearted awards.
Later that evening, the Class of 2021 are warmly invited back for their Five-Year Reunion. Taking place in Joe’s Café from 6.00pm to 7.30pm, the event will offer the chance to catch up with friends and former teachers as part of the wider Reunion Weekend.
The weekend will conclude with the OE Reunion Dinner on Saturday 12 September in Perrins Hall. Open to all Old Elizabethans, the black-tie evening will include a three-course meal, drinks and the opportunity to return to one of the School’s most familiar and memory-filled spaces. The Foundation is especially keen to welcome back those celebrating milestone reunions, including the Classes of 2006, 1996, 1986, 1976 and 1966.
These events form an important part of the Foundation’s work in keeping former pupils connected with RGS Worcester and with one another. Whether returning for the first time in many years, gathering with old friends or marking a special reunion, all former pupils are warmly encouraged to join us.
To book for any of these events, please visit the Foundation website. You can also follow the RGS Worcester Alumni channels on Facebook and Instagram to stay up to date with the latest Foundation news, events and alumni updates.
We look forward to welcoming many former pupils back to RGS over the months ahead.
