Major Developments Underway with Continued Investment in Facilities
Significant development work has taken place across the School site over the Easter holiday, with a number of key projects completed and further major developments now underway.
Work has begun on the entrance to Perrins Hall, marking the start of an important improvement to one of the School’s central spaces. Perrins Hall remains fully operational throughout, with arrangements in place to ensure assemblies and events continue as normal. This project has been made possible through the generous support of the Carmichael family, to whom the School is very grateful.
Elsewhere, several refurbishment projects have been completed, enhancing both teaching and shared spaces. The Lecture Theatre has undergone a full refurbishment, with new seating, flooring and desk space, while Eld Hall has been transformed with a new ceiling, air conditioning, carpet and furniture. In Whiteladies, new lighting in the foyer has further improved the environment for pupils and staff.
At Flagge Meadow, the pavilion has benefited from essential maintenance and upgrade works ahead of the Cricket season, with painting still ongoing. The improvements come at an ideal time as preparations continue for the RGS Schools’ Cricket Festival later this term.
Looking ahead, work to create a new Innovation Centre in the Pullinger building will begin next week. This project is being supported through a generous donation from the Mahjoor family. Fasha Mahjoor, business entrepreneur, Architect, Honorary Patron and former House Captain of Whiteladies boarding house, has been a longstanding supporter of RGS Worcester and we are looking forward to the grand opening of the new Centre before the Apple Education Global Summit early in July.
Together, these projects represent a significant step forward in the continued development of RGS Worcester’s facilities, supporting pupils and staff to provide new opportunities in learning.
