Welcome Back to the Classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025
We were delighted to welcome back our newest ‘Old Elizabethans’* for the annual New OE Christmas Drinks, a relaxed and informal festive gathering for the Classes of 2023, 2024 and 2025. Held in Perrins Hall on the final evening of the Michaelmas term, the event provided a familiar setting for alumni to reconnect with friends and staff.
The reunion offered our most recent leavers an opportunity to return to School, many for the first time since leaving last summer. For younger alumni in particular, the evening was enhanced by the presence of teachers who had played an important role during their time at RGS Worcester, with conversations reflecting upon shared memories and experiences beyond School.
The Headmaster gave a warm welcome and brief update about the School and commented that it was the first time there were 3 Pitts at the same reunion event with his daughter Katy finishing at RGS last summer 2025 and his son Jack in the summer of 2023. He thanked all of the alumni for attending and updating the staff about their news. We wished the Class of 2023 who are graduating from university this summer all the very best for their Finals and beyond. The Foundation Director completed the evening by organising a photograph and asking alumni to keep in touch with the Foundation Office.
The atmosphere throughout the evening was relaxed and welcoming, with Old Elizabethans enjoying the chance to catch up and mark the beginning of the Christmas celebrations together.
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the New OE Drinks. We look forward to welcoming Classes to future alumni events as their Old Elizabethan journey continues.
*Alumni of RGS Worcester are known as ‘Old Elizabethans’ or ‘OEs’ for short after Queen Elizabeth I who awarded the School its first Royal Charter. The Charter permitted the School to be named the ‘Royal’ Grammar School. A statue of Elizabeth I can be seen located high on the wall of Eld Hall, looking out onto The Tything.
