RGS Worcester Ranked as Leading Independent Co-Educational Day School in the West Midlands
Under the heading “ranked number one”, the Worcester News reported the following this week:
RGS Worcester: West Midlands accolade from Daily Telegraph
A CITY school has been ranked as the leading co-educational independent day school in the region.
RGS Worcester says the West Midlands recognition by The Daily Telegraph highlights its reputation for academic excellence, outstanding pastoral care and a rich breadth of co-curricular opportunities.
The ranking was based upon various criteria, including academic results, and then placed schools based upon value for money.
RGS Worcester was the only school locally to be placed in the ‘very good’ category.
With 62 per cent of all A level grades at A*/A and 98.5 per cent A*-C, as well as eye-catching results in BTEC and at GCSE, the ranking reflects the hard work and dedication of students and the commitment of staff.
The achievements coincide with headmaster John Pitt beginning his 12th year leading the school.
Reflecting on the latest success, Mr Pitt said: “It is an honour for RGS Worcester to be recognised as the leading co-educational independent day school in the West Midlands.
“This reflects the ambition, hard work and talent of our pupils, the dedication of our exceptional staff and the support of our wider school community.
“This is a tremendous team effort and congratulations to the whole RGS community for what has been achieved together. It is exciting to see what the future holds here at RGS.”
The RGS Worcester Family of Schools has been recognised by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI) for a ‘significant strength’ in the supportive relationships between pupils and between pupils and staff and honoured with national awards for digital innovation and AI.
The school has an upcoming open morning on Saturday, September 20.
