National Recognition and Performance Success in Music
We are delighted to celebrate a number of individual successes in Music by RGS Worcester pupils, reflecting both their talent and the breadth of musical opportunity available to them beyond the classroom.
Congratulations to Year Seven pupil Maia Goold, who has secured a place in the National Children’s Choir, a significant achievement recognising her vocal ability and musical potential at a national level. An active member of the Choir, Maia continues to contribute enthusiastically to School ensembles, and we look forward to seeing her ongoing development through her involvement with the National Choir. We are also pleased to share the success of Maia’s sister, Sixth Form student Isla Goold, who has recently achieved Grade 8 Singing with Distinction.
Further congratulations go to Year Nine pupil Hannes Farmer, who recently performed in his first concert with the Worcester Philharmonic Orchestra. Hannes performed a demanding programme featuring works by Mozart and Saint-Saëns.
These achievements sit alongside a growing number of RGS Worcester pupils involved in prestigious regional and national ensembles. Finlay Hilton and Arthur Hasling have both recently attended ESO Youth courses, a highly regarded opportunity for aspiring young orchestral musicians, while Isabella Gabriel is a member of the National Children’s Orchestra. We congratulate all pupils involved and look forward to celebrating their continued musical successes in the months ahead.
