GB Squad Recognition for Cleo
Year Eleven pupil Cleo has been longlisted for the GB Equestrian squad with her pony, Night Fury, following their continued success and development together.
Last summer the duo were selected to represent Great Britain at the Pony European Championships in Le Mans, France.
Cleo and Night Fury have once again been recognised at national level and will now compete at the final trial in July, where the final GB squad will be selected. Longlisting for the squad is a significant achievement and reflects Cleo’s commitment, skill and dedication to her riding.
Director of Sport, Mr Keith Fowles, said: “Cleo and Night Fury are clearly making a fabulous team, and it is excellent to continue to see their success, improvement and growth together.”
Cleo is also part of the RGS Athlete Development Programme (ADP) and continues to balance her riding commitments alongside School life including completing her GCSE examinations this summer. We congratulate Cleo on this exciting recognition and wish her and Night Fury the very best of luck at the final trial in July.
