Confidence & Talent at Year Eleven Teatime Concert
Year Eleven pupils showcased their musical talents on Wednesday 30 September for the latest Teatime Concert, presenting an impressive and varied programme of vocal and instrumental performances in Perrins Hall.
The afternoon brought together a wide range of musical styles and instruments, with performances spanning Classical Music, Musical Theatre and contemporary repertoire. Vocalists Lilah, Olivia, Seb, Immy, Lexie and Mimi performed pieces including I Dreamed a Dream from Les Misérables, She Used To Be Mine from Waitress and Maybe This Time from Cabaret.
Instrumental performances added further variety to the programme. Olivia performed Florence Price’s The Deserted Garden on violin, while Isabella performed Sicilienne et Allegro Giocoso on bassoon. Darcie performed Beethoven’s Für Elise on piano, Reuben presented Jam Bourrée on trumpet and Finlay performed Saint-Saëns’ Allegro Appassionato on cello. Nicole concluded the programme with Aaron Copland’s Hoe-Down from Rodeo on violin.
From Musical Theatre favourites to challenging solo instrumental pieces, the concert demonstrated the musical interests and abilities of Year Eleven pupils as they continue to develop their performance skills.
Congratulations to all of the pupils who performed and thank you to the Music Department for another enjoyable afternoon of live Music.
