Celebrating Arkwright Scholarship Success
We are delighted to share that Year Eleven pupil Arthur Hasling has been awarded a prestigious Arkwright Engineering Scholarship for the Sixth Form, recognising his promise and potential as an aspiring engineer.
The Arkwright Engineering Scholarship is one of the UK’s most respected awards for young people with an interest in Engineering. The highly competitive programme is designed to identify, inspire and support future leaders in Engineering, providing Scholars with access to valuable opportunities, mentoring and industry links throughout their Sixth Form studies.
Arthur successfully completed a rigorous selection process, including an aptitude assessment, a detailed application and an interview with industry professionals. His achievement reflects his technical ability and also his creativity, problem-solving skills and commitment to developing his interest in Engineering further.
Arthur commented: “I am really pleased to have been awarded an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship. The process was challenging, but it was a great opportunity to develop my interest in Engineering further.”
We are also pleased to share that a pupil joining RGS Worcester in the Sixth Form this September has achieved an Arkwright Engineering Scholarship, following support from the Design Technology Department. This means the Department is celebrating two Arkwright Scholars this year, a particularly impressive achievement!
The Scholarship provides access to a range of opportunities, including support for Engineering projects, mentoring and insight into industry pathways. These experiences will help both pupils continue to develop their skills and explore future opportunities in Engineering.
Congratulations to Arthur and to the Design Technology Department on this excellent success. We look forward to seeing how Arthur continues to develop his Engineering interests in the Sixth Form.
