A Strong Start to the Year for RGS Worcester Riders
The RGS Equestrian team made an excellent start to the year at the NSEA Showjumping competition at Moores Farm, competing alongside pupils from RGS The Grange in a day marked by strong performances and impressive sportsmanship.
There were a number of notable individual achievements. Izzy delivered a confident performance in her first showjumping competition for RGS Worcester, finishing sixth in the 70cm class. Jessica produced a fast and assured round to secure first place in the 90cm class, while Ava contributed to a strong showing in the 70cm competition. Georgie also demonstrated outstanding horsemanship, making the mature decision to retire when her horse was not feeling at his best following a recent minor operation.
Team success was equally encouraging, with Ava and Izzy combining with Lucie of RGS The Grange to finish third in the 70cm team competition, reflecting the strength of collaboration across The RGS Worcester Family of Schools.
Further success came in the form of regional qualification, with Jessica and Izzy, alongside pupils from RGS The Grange, now set to compete at the Regional Championships later this year. This event provided a fantastic example of teamwork, sportsmanship and partnership and we congratulate all riders on their achievements.
