RGS Hockey Players Selected to Represent County
We are delighted to announce that nineteen RGS Worcester pupils have been selected to play Hockey in County Squads this season.
Head of Hockey Liaison & Head of Hockey, Miss Leanne Bennett, said: “I would like to congratulate all pupils on their selection for representative Hockey. It has been fantastic to learn how many pupils have been selected to play for their County and to be able to continue to support them with their Hockey development. These pupils are excellent role models to their peers and for the whole RGS Community. I look forward to hearing of their continued success”.

It is not just our pupils who have had recent playing success, but one of our Hockey Coaches as well. RGS Head Hockey Coach and Olympian, Miss Sally Walton supported her Bowdon Hockey Club teammates last weekend, finishing in the top four of the Premier Division, securing a place in the semi-final of the Super 6s Indoor Competition. Miss Walton has topped the scoring list with 12 goals scored over the first two weekends of the Competition and aims to beat her previous club, Repton, in the semi-final held at the Copper Box arena this Sunday.
We wish all those selected to represent their County the best of luck with their upcoming fixtures and Miss Walton every success for this Sunday’s semi-final.
