LitSoc Enjoy an Evening of Gothic Drama
Junior LitSoc enjoyed an evening of Gothic drama at Worcester’s Swan Theatre this week, watching the gripping adaptation of Robert Louis Stevenson’s ‘The Strange case of Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde’.
Members of Junior LitSoc have been looking at some extracts from the novella in preparation to watch the performance, and to see these brought to life on stage was invaluable.
It was a pleasure to return to, and see the pupils relishing, live theatre once again and enjoying all that this experience offers: the buzz of a live audience, the thrill of watching actors perform and the excitement of confectionery in the interval! A favourite moment from the play was the way in which Hyde’s infamous murder of Sir Danvers Carew was enacted in perfect slow motion.
We look forward to many more exciting theatre visits with Junior LitSoc.
