National Fourth Place for Noah at British 4X Championships

Year Nine pupil Noah enjoyed an outstanding introduction to Four-Cross mountain biking over the summer holidays, finishing fourth nationally in the 13-15 age category at the British Four Cross National Championships on Sunday 23 August.

Competing at the Cannondale Classics, Noah was taking part in his first ever Four-Cross event. The discipline sees four riders race head-to-head from a starting gate over a steep and technically demanding course featuring jumps, berms and challenging sections.

Despite his lack of previous competition experience in the discipline, Noah progressed confidently through a highly competitive field. He secured victories in his first and third motos and finished second in his second race to progress to the knock-out stages.

The quarter-final provided an additional challenge when Noah snapped his chain during the race. Despite the mechanical problem, he maintained his composure to finish second and secure a place in the semi-final. Another second-place finish then saw him progress to the Grand Final, where he completed an exceptional debut by finishing fourth overall in the British National Championships.

The result marked an impressive start to Noah’s Four-Cross career. He now plans to compete in the National Series in 2027, with events scheduled to take place in Falmouth, Ipswich and South Wales.

Congratulations to Noah on an excellent national achievement. To reach a British Championship Grand Final in his first Four-Cross competition is a superb accomplishment and we look forward to following his progress in Cycling.
