RGS Worcester Announced as Official Education Partner of Worcester Warriors
We are delighted to share the exciting news that RGS Worcester has been named the Official Education Partner of Worcester Warriors. This new partnership marks the beginning of an exciting collaboration between the two organisations, united by a shared commitment to excellence in sport, education and community engagement across Worcestershire. As part of the partnership, the RGS Worcester name will appear on the Worcester Warriors playing shirts, a very proud moment for our School and wider community.
Sport plays a central role in the School’s ethos, with pupils encouraged to participate at every level from high-level elite performance to inclusive, lifelong engagement. Pupils are coached by former international players and there are 23 sports on offer at the School. In the last three years, 24 pupils have gone on to achieve international honours in 10 different sports, including earning England (Men’s and Women’s) and Scotland international rugby caps.
Through this partnership, RGS pupils will have the opportunity to work with the Worcester Warriors squad and expert coaching staff, enhancing their sporting journey throughout their time in The RGS Worcester Family of Schools. From inspiring role models to specialist training and shared expertise, this collaboration will further strengthen the School’s commitment to delivering an exceptional Sports programme.
The collaboration also extends beyond the School gates. RGS Worcester is committed to working in partnership with local schools and clubs to increase access to high-quality sports experiences for young people throughout the county. The RGS Partnership Programme sees engagement with over 40 local schools, benefiting well over 1,000 children from across Worcestershire each year.
John Pitt, Headmaster of RGS Worcester, said: “We are delighted to be named the official Education Partner of Worcester Warriors. This exciting partnership brings together two organisations that care deeply about our local community and who believe in the transformative power of sport for young people. We look forward to working closely with the Warriors and further with the local community and we are all very excited here. We wish the Worcester Warriors every success for the season ahead.
Gill Wood from Worcester Warriors said: “We’re incredibly proud to partner with an institution like RGS Worcester, whose passion for sport, education and community reflects so much of what we stand for as a club.”
