Inspiring Excellence: Meet the 2023-2024 School Captains
Congratulations to Catherine Broadbent, Callum Butler, Callum Lockett and Isabelle Thompson who have been appointed as School Captains for the next academic year. They will be working with Senior Prefects, eight House Captains (also Senior Prefects) and our Prefects, including Pastoral Prefects who support the younger Year groups at RGS.
Our School Captains are intrinsic to the operation of RGS, delivering speeches, performing School duties, providing tours for visitors, as well as assisting staff and younger pupils. This provides effective additional support for pupils and an early interaction with older students in the School.
Isabelle Thompson commented: “I am absolutely thrilled to be appointed as one of the four School Captains. To be given the opportunity to represent RGS Worcester’s values and standards is an honour and I hope to be an inspiration to both current and future pupils. From being a former student at The Grange, The RGS Family of Schools is a very special community and I am extremely proud to be part of it. I am looking forward to undertaking the duties involved over the next academic year with excitement and privilege”.
Callum Butler commented: “It is a privilege to be appointed School Captain at a School that has been such an integral part of my life. I remember looking up to the Prefects from lower down the School, and I understand the importance of these roles. To this end, I am committed to serving our School community with dedication, integrity, and a profound sense of responsibility”.
Callum Lockett commented: “It is an honour and privilege to be appointed as a School Captain for my final year at RGS Worcester. This opportunity is the highlight of my School career to date, and I am very excited to serve and represent the student body, and to facilitate the School’s ethos over the year ahead. I look forward to achieving this alongside my fellow School Captains”.
Catherine Broadbent commented: “I am truly grateful and thrilled to have been appointed as a School Captain. I am excited and proud to both represent the student body and support them in all they achieve. As a team, I know the four of us are very committed to upholding the values that RGS prides itself on. I am sure that this year will be enjoyable and successful for us all”.
Many congratulations to all four of our School Captains.
