Elite Rugby Insight for Sixth Form Student Milo at Harlequins
Lower Sixth student Milo Thomas was recently offered a valuable insight into elite professional sport after spending the day at the training ground of Harlequins, one of England’s leading Premiership Rugby clubs. The experience provided Milo with first-hand exposure to high-performance training, alongside opportunities to engage with players and coaching staff at the top level of the game.
During the visit, Milo observed high-performance training sessions, met members of the senior squad and gained deeper insight into the expectations of professional Rugby. Opportunities such as this provide an important perspective for aspiring players, offering both inspiration and a clearer understanding of the standards required to compete at the highest level of the game.
The invitation, facilitated through PR Facilities Management Limited, a seasonal box holder at Harlequins and sponsor of Woodrush Rugby, reflects Milo’s continued commitment to his Rugby development, as well as his contribution to the recent Modus Challenge Cup success. Experiences of this nature play a key role in supporting students with ambitions in elite sport and highlight the pathways available to those demonstrating both talent and dedication.
Reflecting on the visit, Milo said: “I had an amazing opportunity to spend the day at Harlequins, watching the team train. It was incredible meeting the players and getting the chance to see how a Premiership team trains up close. My highlights of the day were passing the ball with Marcus Smith, England international and British & Irish Lions fly-half and having a conversation with Lucas Friday about training expectations and life within a Premiership environment.”
For Milo, the chance to interact directly with players competing at the highest level reinforced the intensity, discipline and professionalism required to succeed in elite Rugby.
