How to Apply to RGS Worcester
We welcome hundreds of children to RGS every year, giving them an independent private high school experience. They join in nearly all year groups and arrive from all over the region and from a wide variety of schools. We are delighted that you are interested in joining the RGS family.
I wanted to put on record what a lovely school I thought RGS Worcester is and was impressed by the enthusiasm, pastoral care and obviously passionate teachers and pupils you have. Lucky Worcester!
We would like to introduce you to Mrs Cathy Bates, Registrar for RGS Worcester. She will answer any queries you have regarding joining us and assist with your child’s entrance into our school. Whether you want to join us for a visit on a School day, an Open Morning or simply telephone for information, she is your contact and will guide you through our admissions process. She can be contacted on 01905 613391, by email or via our contact us section.
All pupils need to sit an entrance examination to join RGS Worcester. In order to sit the entrance examination, a pupil must first be registered. A registration form is provided with our prospectus or is available to download. The registration fee is £45.00, payable with the completed registration form. The entrance examination takes place each year, on a Saturday morning during January/February. However, late applicants may be able to sit the examination throughout the year, if space is available.
Once a pupil is registered, we offer taster days so that your child may become familiar with the School. We also hold induction days throughout the academic year before entry.
Applications for Bursary funding must be made well before the assessment process begins. Please see the Means-Tested Bursaries and Scholarships Policy for more information and email our Registrar for an application form.
To apply for a Scholarship, please download and complete the registration form in the first instance. Once the Registrar has received this form, you will be sent the appropriate Scholarship Form.
