Charity Fundraising Update
RGS Worcester’s pupils and staff have beaten the 2018/2019 fundraising record across the senior school, by raising over £17,000 for charitable causes during the 2019/20 academic year. This impressive total exceeds by almost £4,000 the previous year’s total. This is all the more commendable given the School was in ‘lockdown’ during the Trinity term.
A very big thank you to everyone who helped us to raise such a significant sum, which has helped many local charities including Maggs Day Centre, Worcester Foodbank, Worcester Snoezelen, Hand-in-Hand for Oscar, Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust, Droitwich Spa Meeting Centre, as well as many well-known national charities including; Macmillan Cancer Support, BBC Children in Need, NSPCC, RSPCA, Worldwide Fund for Nature and Sport Relief.
Well done to all staff, pupils and RGS Community who participated and generously donated to our fundraising activities. The challenge is now on – can we beat this sum this year? The Sixth Form and staff will be holding a ‘Wear Pink to School Day’ next Friday for Breast Cancer UK, organised by the pupil-led Charity Committee.
