‘Aspects of Worcester’ Exhibition at Worcester Cathedral
Talented RGS student artists are exhibiting artwork at Worcester Cathedral this week in an ‘Aspects of Worcester’ art exhibition.
The starting point for the work was a walking trip around Worcester last term, which included a visit to the city’s Cathedral. The students took lots of photographs and made observation drawings, which they have since developed into finished pieces of art work which will be on display in the exhibition.
Acting Head of Art, Mrs Angela Newport, said: “The students have aimed to represent the theme ‘Aspects of Worcester’, and have created very individual art work using a wide range of media; from expressive drawings to Printmaking and Oil paintings. Please do come along and see the exhibition over Half term and enjoy the wonderful artwork on display.”
The ‘Aspects of Worcester’ exhibition will run from 21 February to 27 February in the South Cloister of Worcester Cathedral. The exhibition is open to the public, so please do visit over Half term.
