A Taste of the Action
Last weekend we welcomed pupils in Years Five and Six, from a number of local schools to our Sports Taster Morning. This followed a successful Taster Session for internal pupils from RGS The Grange and RGS Springfield which was held on Friday during the school day. The Taster Morning allowed a fantastic opportunity for the children to sample the broad range of sporting opportunities we offer at RGS Worcester, and we were proud to showcase the excellent facilities we are fortunate to provide here.
The Taster Morning began with an introduction from our new Director of Sport, Mr Keith Fowles, who brings with him a wealth of knowledge and a vast amount of experience in developing sports programmes that have achieved national success. The introduction highlighted RGS Worcester’s sporting ethos; to ensure each and every child is fulfilling their potential, as well as the RGSW Charter for Sport; embracing the values of being ‘Resolute, Gracious, Selfless and Willing’ (RGSW).
Mr Fowles, said, “It was amazing to be involved in my first Sport Taster Morning at RGS Worcester and to see the highest number of participants in our Taster Morning’s history. It was fantastic to see so many girls and boys participate and learn to develop their skills in Athletics, Football, Hockey, Netball and Rugby”.
A great morning was enjoyed by all. Thank you to all those families who attended for sharing their enthusiasm for Sport and helping make the morning such an enjoyable success.
